On July 1st Alan will be taking the thirteen hour train journey up to Thurso, the most northerly station in bonnie Scotland. Poorly equipped with an old 1960s all-steel racing green Raleigh, some porridge oats and a video camera he will be traveling down the country, all the way to Land's End. On his way he'll be practising his yodeling skills on route and attempting to learn the ukulele whilst camping out in farmer's fields. The end result may be two calouses on his arse (like a baboon) from his original Brooke's leather saddle seat, thigh's twice the size they are now and a few more lines on his face from the fierce winds of the transatlantic jetstream.
